Cancellation Policy

This policy explains how to cancel premium features and what happens when you cancel services on our platform.

Premium Features Cancellation

Users can cancel premium features and subscriptions at any time through their account settings:

How to Cancel

  1. Login to Account: Access your EsportsChamp account dashboard
  2. Go to Settings: Navigate to Account Settings → Subscriptions
  3. Select Service: Choose the premium feature you want to cancel
  4. Confirm Cancellation: Click "Cancel Subscription" and confirm your choice
  5. Confirmation Email: You'll receive an email confirming the cancellation

What Happens After Cancellation

  • Premium features remain active until the end of current billing period
  • No future charges will be processed
  • Account automatically reverts to free tier after expiration
  • Data and progress are preserved for 90 days

Important: No Refunds After Usage

Cancelling premium features does not entitle users to refunds for the remaining subscription period. All payments are final.

Tournament Cancellations

User-Initiated Cancellations

  • Before Tournament Starts: Cancel up to 30 minutes before start time
  • Entry Fee: Virtual coins are returned to your account
  • After Start Time: No cancellations allowed, entry fee forfeited
  • No-Show: Automatic disqualification, no refund

Platform-Initiated Cancellations

We may cancel tournaments due to:

  • Insufficient participants (less than minimum required)
  • Technical issues or server problems
  • Maintenance or emergency situations
  • Violation of tournament rules by participants

In these cases, all entry fees are automatically refunded as virtual coins.

Virtual Coin Purchase Cancellations

Important Notice

Virtual coin purchases cannot be cancelled once the transaction is completed and coins are delivered to your account.

Before Purchase Completion

  • You can cancel during payment gateway processing
  • Use the "Cancel" or "Back" button on payment page
  • No charges will be made if cancelled before completion

After Purchase Completion

  • Virtual coins are immediately added to your account
  • Transactions are considered final and non-refundable
  • Only technical errors qualify for refunds (see Refund Policy)

Account Deletion

Users can permanently delete their accounts at any time:

Deletion Process

Warning: Account deletion is permanent and cannot be undone.

  1. Contact support at support@esportschamp.in
  2. Request account deletion with your registered email
  3. Verify your identity as required
  4. Confirm deletion request within 48 hours
  5. Account will be permanently deleted within 7 business days

What Gets Deleted

  • Personal account information and profile data
  • Tournament history and statistics
  • Virtual coins and unused premium features
  • Friends list and social connections
  • Chat history and communications

What We Retain

  • Transaction records (for legal and tax compliance)
  • Fraud prevention data (anonymized)
  • Aggregated analytics data (non-identifiable)

This Cancellation Policy is effective as of March 31, 2026. We may update this policy with notice to users.
